Suction for a small low-voltage build

Brushed motors draw a start-up current above their running figure, so size the supply and wiring for the peak rather than the average. Add a switch or driver rated for that current, and keep the intake clear of dust and moisture.

The pump is not self-priming in every arrangement and does not tolerate blocked flow for long. Check the duty you need against the motor before running it continuously, and mount it so vibration does not loosen the tubing.
