Interpret Each Material Mode Correctly

Softwood has a stated 0-55% range and hardwood 0-35%. Drywall and masonry readings are relative values, not direct moisture percentages. Use consistent contact and compare similar areas.

The sensing footprint needs a suitable surface area and material thickness. Follow the manual around the approximately 20 mm sensing depth. The meter also displays room temperature and humidity and requires three AAA batteries separately.
