Keep Watering Part of the Routine

Connect the timer between a suitable tap and irrigation hose, then plan the schedule around the containers or beds being watered. Different plants and weather conditions still need your judgement; a timer does not measure soil moisture for you.

Run a supervised test before relying on the programme, checking both the connections and the shut-off. The controller requires a pressurised supply, so it is not intended to draw water from an unpressurised bucket.
